Programme Outcomes



Program Outcomes (PO) :  The program outcomes of the Faculty of Arts undergraduate and post graduate degree    programs( as per the college effort for the students’ understanding about the expectations from the courses ) are as follows:


A)    For Undergraduate Degree Program


PO1:Fundamental course knowledge: The understanding of fundamental          concepts helping in developing foundation and insight into the issues pertaining the complexities of the problems of the courses.


PO2:  Methodsof analysing problems: Initiating the development of knowledge regarding understanding and identifying course specific problems, formulating the suggestive answers, reviewing the literature and the methodologies adopted for analyzing the problems and reaching adequate results.


PO3:  Fundamentals of Design/development of solutions: Knowledge about the development of solutions of problems through appropriate research methods.


PO4:  Knowledge regarding employment of tools: Imparting knowledge regarding the employment of the tools relevant to the study and understanding their limitation.




PO5:   Ethics:Development of the insight into the ethical responsibilities and practices in the respective fields.


B)   For Post Graduate Degree Program


PO1Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information in an attempt to provide valid conclusions.


PO2Bridging Knowledge and society: Developing understanding into the various nuances of the application of knowledge to the societal benefits.


PO3Design/development of solutions: Training regarding the development of the designs and finding appropriate solutions.


PO4Employment of tools: Employment of tools on the sample drawn from a specified population.

PSO1:- On successful completion of the programme the students will be able to open the mind, to correct it, to refine it, to enable it, to comprehend and digest its knowledge, to give it power over its own faculties, application, flexibility, method, critical exactness, sagacity, address and expression.

PSO2:- On successful completion of the programme the students will be able to construct correct sentences because it is not a matter of analytical knowledge but of practice which can be achieved by employing rational explanation of grammatical devices

POSs3- Social Interaction-Geographical research field work (social-economic and instrumental survey) helps to manage social interaction among the student.
